My Apologies For Not Writing

July 8th, 2008

My Apologies to my Readers. I just don’t feel like writing sometime. Today was suppose to be my wash day, but I moved it to tomorrow. I worked on errands and getting application papers ready to apply for a new apartment complex tomorrow.

I got in my Y cable, 25 feet of monitor cable, and my new cue stick! Now I can play computer games on my new TV. It will be mostly Madden 2007!

Maybe my new cue stick will sharpen my game of pool at the Senior Center! It is the second personal one I’ve owned. I owned one back in College.

I followed up on my shoulder with my doctor yesterday morning. When I told him it was just arthritis, He called me Dr. Horsley. That is just what everybody said when I told them about it. It also don’t hurt as much as it did. In fact, I hardly notice it most of the time.

Suggestive Monday

June 30th, 2008

This was a Monday morning, and that meant Meals on Wheels. When I got to the center, I worked on my key chain and visited with everybody. The keychain was a Dallas Cowboy key chain, that a friend gave me. Everyone suggested that I put an application in for the senior citizen apartments.

We went and delivered the meals, except one that they forgot to put on the list. The driver had to deliver that one by herself, after we got back. The dinner’s main course was barbecue burgers. They overload the burger with the meat, so you have to eat it with a fork. It was a pretty good dinner.

I called the apartment management, sometime today, and she said, she hadn’t heard anything. She also said, she would let us know, when she found out something. I’m waiting to talk to C. I have an appointment Wednesday.

We did have a little summer shower, when I came in on the bus. I made it to the DQ. I brought up about the apartment situation. One man made that suggestion again, about setting up an application for a Senior Apartment. They are also for those with disabilities. It takes about 6 months for an application to go through. That is about how long, it took Mother to get hers. What do You think? Should I put an application in for a Senior Citizen Apartment?

Unpleasant News

June 27th, 2008

This morning was Meals on Wheels. I didn’t arrive early. I didn’t even play 8 ball. I just visited with people, until it was time, to deliver. We were in that mini van again. We voted to keep using the mini van, instead of our regular van. It was voted out 2-1. When we got back, our big regular van was back from the shop! That was a good sign.

I didn’t eat fish today. I had chicken spaghetti. It was okay.

I rode the bus to the clinic. I did my appointment. I got a ride back to my apartment. I checked on Cocoa. When I walked him this morning, he picked up something near the dumpster. I shut him up in the bathroom, while I was gone. He didn’t get sick!

I got some unpleasant news this morning. HUD is debating on closing down my apartment complex! The owner hasn’t been repairing the buildings, like HUD has told him too. The management started a  petition to change the mind of HUD. There is no vacant low priced housing in my town for that many people! How do you handle a situation like this?

A Hot Swetty Afternoon

June 26th, 2008

This morning I did meals on wheels. I went at 9 am. I played 5 games of 8 ball. I won 2and lost 3.

We had to use an old mini van, because something was wrong with ours. It was kind of hard to get used to. We were used to that big van.

The meal was okay. I ate most of it. They serve a lot of green beans. Ham was the main course. I don’t prefer ham, and I’m not supposed to eat it. It is because of cholesterol.

I got bored this afternoon, and T, who runs a gas station across town, called me. He reminded me that he hadn’t seen that new bike. I really started this mess. When I first got the bike, I told him that I would ride it arcross town to his station. He has bee teasing me about it since I told him.

So before 3 pm, I started out on my bike, in 91 or more sultry degrees. I made it, but I’m not 35 anymore! I’m also not muscles! I didn’t want to ride it back home and T suggested I get a ride home. I called a friend, who works with me on meals on wheels. He came after me and my bike. We went by the Senior Center, and played 3 games of pool! So, over all, Today, I won 3 out of 8 games of 8 ball. Do you ride a bike?

Old As I feel

June 20th, 2008

Well this morning, I went back to Meals On Wheels. During the time of waiting, I played 2 games of 8 ball. I won the first one, and lost the last.

We had a different hopper today. His daughter’s husband joined us. He sat in the seat behind mine. A lot of teasing went on while we worked. I wasn’t the one being teased, either!

Fish was the main course of the dinner. I ate all the food on my plate. There is a senior citizen, that sits at our table, usually. He is a friend of mine. He used to give me rides to church. He brags on me, when I clean my plate.

Mother and I ran to the grocery store. She needed a couple of things, and I did too. I also had a prescription to pick up.

I came home, and checked my email, while watching TV. I had already walked Cocoa for his dinner walk. I didn’t miss the DQ either. I came home, and checked the mail. I also walked Cocoa, for his last walk, of the day.

The prescription made me a little sleepy. It is for pain. I have had a hurting right shoulder and arm, the last couple of weeks. Everybody has told me, it is arthritis. Even the doctor gave me medicine for arthritis. I guess, when they say, you hit 50, everything is downhill! LOL! I’m as old as I feel! How about You?

True Surrender

June 18th, 2008

It is nothing like coming to a time of true surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ! I had a time of just getting down on my knees and true surrendering. I have strayed for a while and, now I want the Lord’sWill in my life.

If you don’t know the Loving Jesus Christ, I know, I pray you will lay down your pride and accept him as Lord and Savior tonight. All You have to do is confess You are a sinner. You must accept that Jesus died on the Cross for your sins. You must accept that he arose 3 days later from the grave. If You do this, You will be saved!

If you did these things, Go and confess this in a New Testament Church! Read your Bible and Pray. Start out in St. John.

Late Mail

June 16th, 2008

It was back to Meals on Wheels this morning. I didn’t do much this morning, when I got at the Center, but visit. I was worried about something, but it has cleared now.  I went on the East Route and it went as smooth as usual. Everything was ok at dinner, except the rice. I don’t like rice! I will eat Spanish rice. I rode the bus home.

When I got home, I checked on Mother, by phone. I took Cocoa on his noon walk. I checked my email. I chatted with F on the computer. I went to the DQ. F was there too. I came home.

Knowing it was Monday, and the mail would be late, I waited until 5 pm to walk Cocoa. At 5, I walked Cocoa. They said it hadn’t come yet. At almost 6 pm, I checked the mail. Sure enough, it had come.

I watched the evening news, and ate supper. What do You eat for supper? I had a bowl of cereal and a banana.

My New Digital Camera

June 12th, 2008

This morning was Meals On Wheels. I got to the Center late, and had no time for pool. I didn’t help carry the hot food. I don’t know how I hurt my shoulder, but it is sore. We had an employee, from one of the banks, come to be our hopper. The hopper is the one that carries the food into the house.

It was a good meal. The dinner consisted of cooked carrots, King Ranch Chicken, fried squash, broccoli cauliflower salad, and fruit gelatin. I ate the whole thing!

I came home on the bus. Cocoa got sick last night. Thank goodness, I had him shut up in the bathroom. I tried to shut him up in there, today, with the door open. He got out, but didn’t have an accident. He got out some way. I guess he jumped the fence!

I made the Dairy Queen. Two of us was all that showed up, but another guy came in, that B knew. B told him to set down, and they went to talking. I’m not much of a talker.

I finally figured out why the flash don’t work on my new camera. The directions says, if you use the flash much, it ruins the batteries. I need rechargeable alkaline batteries.

Do you think digital cameras are coming too technical to run? This one is, but I like it. I wil be great for outside pictures.

Get Rid Of Plants Day

June 11th, 2008

I got all 3 of my plants out on the front porch this morning. Mother was coming by. I had an ivy, and airplane. I had a third plant, that I got from my brother’s funeral. He passed away about 2 years ago. Of the three plants, it was the best. Mother came and I loaded the car up.

We were going to run an errand. After the errand, Mother dropped me off at the Senior Center. I visited with those waiting to go carry out Meals on Wheels. After that, I played 2 or 3 games of pool. I think I won 2 of them. I went in to visit the secretaries. The boss was in there, and they were talking girl talk. Then, I went an got the table ready, where I usually sit.

The meal was meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and cabbage. Don’t forget the cherry cobbler! It was real good!

I rode home on the Center bus. Cocoa was ready for his after dinner walk. I also called Mother, to see if she was alright. She was. I walked Cocoa.

I checked my email. I haven’t earned any more from AdSense, or Zlio. Well, I haven’t earned any from zlio. I wished there was something I could do to earn $50 a month. Money is getting tight, because of gas and inflation!

I went to the Dairy Queen. I stayed for almost an hour. Cocoa was ready for his last walk of the day. I also checked the mail. Cocoa got something to eat. I tried to get it away from him. He ate it. He is staying in the bathroom tonight! Does your pet cause trouble? Cocoa is worth it!

Not a Blog Night

June 10th, 2008

Today was another wash day. While washing, I started reading about my new camera. I didn’t get far. My batteries got low.

I just don’t feel like writing tonight.
